1. About Moving Box Rental

Moving Box Rental provides reusable plastic moving boxes and moving trolleys for temporary rental to customers in our service areas.

Our current service areas are Dublin, Kildare and Laois unless otherwise agreed.

2. Your Rental Agreement

When you place an order and we accept it, a rental agreement is created between you and Moving Box Rental for the package, rental period, delivery date and price shown in your order confirmation.

The boxes, trolley and any other rental equipment remain the property of Moving Box Rental at all times.

3. Rental Periods

Rental periods are selected at the time of booking and are currently available in 1, 2, 3 or 4 week options unless otherwise stated.

The rental period begins on the agreed delivery date and continues until the agreed collection date or the end of the selected rental period.

If you need to extend your rental, please contact us before the agreed collection date. Extensions are subject to availability and may involve an additional charge.

4. Delivery & Collection

We provide free delivery and collection within our advertised service areas, subject to availability and the address being within an eligible delivery zone.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, postcode or Eircode, phone number and any access information needed for delivery and collection.

Delivery and collection times may be affected by traffic, weather, access issues or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

5. Customer Responsibilities

During the rental period, you are responsible for taking reasonable care of all equipment supplied to you.

• Boxes and trolleys should be used only for their intended purpose.
• Equipment must not be deliberately altered, damaged or misused.
• Boxes should not be used to store dangerous, illegal or hazardous materials.
• Equipment should be kept reasonably clean and secure.
• You must not sell, lend or transfer our rental equipment to another person.

6. Ownership of Boxes & Trolleys

All boxes, lids, trolleys and other rental equipment supplied by Moving Box Rental remain our property throughout the rental period.

Renting our equipment does not transfer ownership to you.

7. Lost, Missing or Damaged Equipment

You may be responsible for the reasonable replacement or repair cost of equipment that is lost, missing or damaged beyond normal wear and tear while in your possession.

We will not charge for reasonable signs of normal use.

Any charge applied for lost or damaged equipment will be based on the actual circumstances and the reasonable cost of replacement or repair.

8. Late Returns & Failed Collections

Equipment must be available for collection at the end of the agreed rental period.

If equipment cannot be collected because it is unavailable, the address is inaccessible, or nobody is available where required, we may need to arrange another collection.

Additional rental or collection charges may apply where equipment is retained beyond the agreed rental period or where an additional collection is required because of circumstances within the customer’s control.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Any cancellation or refund will be handled in accordance with applicable Irish consumer law and any statutory rights that apply to your booking.

Where a statutory cancellation right applies, we will not seek to limit that right. Where a statutory exemption applies because of the nature or timing of a booked service, the cancellation terms applicable to that booking will be explained before the contract is concluded.

If we are unable to provide the agreed service, we will contact you and, where appropriate, arrange an alternative or refund any amount due.

10. Prices & Payment

The price payable is the price shown at checkout when you place your order.

Any additional charge that may apply, such as an agreed rental extension, replacement of lost equipment or an additional collection, will be explained before it is charged where reasonably possible.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available on the website at the time of ordering.

11. Service Area

Online delivery is currently available only to addresses within the counties and delivery zones shown during checkout.

If your address falls outside an available delivery zone, the website may prevent you from completing the order.

12. Availability

All bookings are subject to equipment and delivery availability.

We may contact you if an unexpected availability issue affects your order. If we cannot provide the booking as agreed, we will discuss an alternative arrangement or refund where appropriate.

13. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under Irish law.

Customers remain responsible for packing, lifting, loading, transporting and unpacking their own belongings unless we have specifically agreed to provide an additional service.

Moving Box Rental is not responsible for damage to a customer’s belongings caused by inappropriate packing, overloading, misuse of the equipment or handling by the customer or a third party.

14. Privacy & Personal Information

We use customer information to process orders, arrange delivery and collection, communicate about bookings, take payment and operate our business.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The terms that apply to your order are the terms in effect when your booking is placed, unless a change is required by law.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.

Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
